Foreword
This wiki serves as the installation and upgrade guide for vMail.Admin 2.0.
The setup helper will assist with setting up the initial application administrator account, also known as the root user, and other basic settings to get you logged in. The database must be created and the relevant SQL schema must imported manually.
As with all installations of vMail.Admin: #You must verify that you are already able to send and receive mail using Postfix (MTA) and Maildrop (MDA). #If you plan on using the SpamAssassin? and/or ClamAV modules, you must verify that SpamAssassin? and/or Clamassassin are tagging headers as expected.
If these conditions are not met, please address them before attempting to install vMail.Admin, or enabling the SpamAssassin? and/or Clamassassin modules.
This wiki uses the generic, default apache webroot. For practical purposes, we have chosen <font color="green">/var/www/localhost/vmailadmin</font> as the working directory to keep things simple and consistant. The working directory can be anywhere on your system as long you have Apache and Sudo configured correctly.
If you find you need assistance with any of the required vMail.Admin packages, please visit the support forums, and/or wiki, for the respective package in question as support for these packages is outside our scope. You may also try posting your question on the vMail.Admin Forums without any guarantee that you will be assisted.
